How to get here

Road access is easy and quick. AP-7 motorway exit 63 leads to the N-332 main road. Direct flights to Alicante and Valencia ("El Altet" airport 80 Km and "Manises" airport 110 Km.) Train stations at Alicante and Valencia that, via Madrid and Barcelona, communicate with any destination.


There are many options when the time comes to choose a place to stay during your visit to Benissa, including renting bungalows & villas, rural houses, hostals, hotels, small hotels, the school farm or rural lodging.


The municipality of Benissa has a surface that presents a very irregular form with heterogenous orography.

From the coast, formed to a large extent by small coves and cliffs, to the mountainous zones, formed by the mountain ranges of Oltá, La Solana, Malla Verda and the mountain range of Bernia, with its almost 1.200 meters.


Years of Iberian, Roman, Arab and Christian history have formed the character of this town named Benissa.

Going back thousands of years, remains like small cave paintings have been discovered that suggest the area was inhabited in the Prehistoric era. Coins and amphoras are signs of Roman presence in our lands.


Benissa enjoys a mediterranean climate, and as a typical valencian and open town, it enjoys a wide cultural and festive calendar including events, like the Patron Fiestas between April and May, Moors and Christians between June and July, the Fira i Porrat de Sant Antoni, and the fiestas of each neighbourhood like the Plá dels Molins, Sant Antoni, Benimallunt, Pedramala, Benimarco, etc...


Benissa can also be known by way of its flavours and scents. The Valencian gastronomy is completed here through its original and tasty dishes, its spices, seafood, fruits and vegetables, and a special care which turns the food on your table into a special morsel.

Names such as"Borreta de melva", "Bull amb ceba", "Mullador de pelleta", "Sang amb ceba", "Putxero de polp", "Mullador de sangatxo" or "Coques al calfó amb mullador" whet everybody's appetite.
